To mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sir Vincent Fairfax on 26 December 2009, VFFF made nine commemorative distributions, totaling $6,848,000. In selecting these organisations, Directors had in mind the founder's involvement and personal interest in them.

    To develop capacity within specific Indigenous communities in Northern Australia for documentation, recording and mapping of traditional knowledge and cultural heritage.

    To support stages one and two of the Royal Botanic Gardens Bicentenary Library Digitisation Project.

    Towards scholarships for Ministry Apprentices.

    Towards the employment of an Operations Manager to support the business units with administration systems, procedures and processes.
  • Accessible Arts
    Towards the Supported Studio Initiative which will provide mapping and documentation of the existing supported studios in NSW in order to support the practice and profile of artists with disability.
  • Opera Queensland
    Towards delivery of the Vocal Threads program in Wilcannia and Walgett.
  • The Australian Ballet
    Towards delivery of the Out There program in schools in NSW.
  • Police & Community Youth Clubs NSW
    Develop and deliver a cultural awareness program as part of Youth on the Go program which works with young male offenders and youth at risk in the Coffs Harbour area.
  • Shopfront Theatre For Young People
    Towards delivery of Arcade Assembly, involving ‘at-risk’ and isolated young people in five schools and Intensive English Centres in Sydney’s south and western suburbs.
  • Genr8 Schools Ministries
    Towards the employment of five Regional Chaplaincy Advisors and an Executive Officer to assist establish local Chaplaincy Support Committees in NSW.
  • Australian Museum Trust
    To employ a Social Worker/Coordinator for the Pacific Youth Cultural Reconnection Program.
  • Royal Far West
    To support the expansion of the Outreach Service treating children in regional areas of NSW.
  • Many Rivers Microfinance Limited
    To establish a microenterprise development service in Condobolin/Central NSW.
  • Sydney Institute of Marine Science Foundation
    To employ a Community Outreach Director for the Harbour Research Project.
  • St Barnabas Church, Broadway
    50th anniversary grants program - For acquisition of a new signboard and internal seating for the rebuilt church.
  • Musica Viva
    50th anniversary grants program - Towards IT work to enable web based delivery of Interactive Whiteboard Software.
  • Belvoir Street Theatre
    50th anniversary grants program – Towards transforming Belvoir St Theatre into a local community hub by upgrading the foyer and rolling out a program of artistic activity in the improved space.
  • SDN Children's Services
    For the enrolment of five Aboriginal students at SDN’s Redfern Centre in 2012.
