Our Mission

To harness the generosity of the Vincent Fairfax family, the VFFF makes distributions to charitable organisations with a particular focus on NSW and north eastern Australia. The VFFF will also seek out organisations at the national level which are engaged in work for the benefit of and care of our country and which are consistent with the guidelines.

The VFFF makes distributions to organistions which seek to address the general needs in the community with an emphasis on those which are unable to rely on high profile fundraising from the corporate sector and the general public.

The future of children and young people is of particular interest to the VFFF as are the special needs of Australians living beyond the major metropolitan centres, particularly in rural and outback Australia.

In its work the VFFF is concerned about the spiritual health of the nation and the relevance of Christian faith in action.

The VFFF seeks to promote the long-term wellbeing of indigenous Australians through support for innovative and practical educational and health programs.

In accordance with specific criteria and subject to the availability of funds, proposals are considered under the following themes:

  • Children and Young People
  • Rural and Regional Australia
  • Christianity
  • Community
